I am uncomfortable with certain words.   Panties is one. So is nipple or the plural nipples. I’m fine with some words.  Vulva for example.  Also labia.  So it’s not that I’m prudish about words.   But ‘panties‘ sounds ‘nasty-sexual’.   I am pretty sure that is a word made up by a man because it’s nasty and guys like nasty.  This morning I heard that the med-school-preppy-craigslist-killer (accused) kept his victims’ “panties” as a souvenir of his escapade with them.  I don’t think ‘panties‘ is a serious enough word to be used on the news and certainly not when referring to the underwear of a recently murdered girl.

Let’s also avoid the word ‘nipples‘, kay?
